Favorite Story: The Starfish Story

Laura Bitzer is a nationally certified school psychologist based out of Wilmington, Delaware. Originally from Landenberg, Pennsylvania, Laura graduated cum laude and received degrees in Psychology and Philosophy from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana. In 2014, Laura spent her summer working at Camp Starfish, a camp in Rindge, New Hampshire specifically for children emotional, behavioral, and learning differences. Following her time at Camp Starfish, Laura knew she wanted to find a career where she could have a positive impact on children's social-emotional, mental, and behavioral well-being.

Laura received a masters degree and an education specialist degree in school psychology from the University of Delaware. During graduate school and into her first year of being a school psychologist, Laura also served on the executive board of the Delaware Association of School Psychologists. After graduating from UD in 2018, she began working at Brandywine Springs School. In June 2020, Laura was recognized as an Outstanding Early Career Professional by the National Association of School Psychologist. In her spare time, Laura enjoys vacationing at Lake Winnipesaukee, spending time with her husband and her dog, and playing soccer.
